Ahhh . . .I remember how once I loved a woman with strong bosoms and ample legs . . .those bosoms had the strength of ten men and the legs were like shining waves of grain . . . and what a love it was . . .lol . . sometimes miscommunication can be more poetic than clarity

;D ;D ;D ;Dl've missed seeing you here genedebs. have you been away.
if you are looking for beautiful women joseph cuba is the place.
the ballerinas that walk down the prado to get to the school of arts in havana are certainly beautiful.they stand out from the crowd.
so graceful they almost glide along the sidewalk.

Hello GeneDebs,
What I mean by "to write about" is, in a poetic sense. I am in search of inspiration to write poems.

Beautiful
When a person has been touched by the beauty of another
it should be told
if it is not
the beholder will grow old
carrying a heavy weight on his shoulders
for having not acknowledged such a wonderful gift
if the beautiful is never told
the beautiful will grow old
never knowing the wonderful gift
she has given

we were visiting cojimar one day and we meet a young girl with her great grandma.
the young girl was sitting on her grandmothers knee.
her little hands were stroking her grandmothers face, caressing all her wrinkles, and she was smothering her in kisses.
she looked at her and said ,grandma you are the most beautiful lady in the world.
it gives me goosebumps still when l think about it.
you see the love that people have for one another shine through all the time in cuba. :) :) :)

Ayeeee! So true Mellisas. The most beautiful woman I saw in Cuba was 92 years old, her soul and beauty shone through her eyes and smile.
I could also say the say for my dear mama. :)
You will find no shortage of beautiful women in Cuba Joseph, whether it is in the cities or in the countryside. Here are a couple of photos, one of a good friend of mine and another of a woman that we picked up in our tour bus, as we went through the Sierra Maestra mountains. Her and her husband had just come back from taking their baby to the doctor and were walking many miles to their home in the mountains.
The women with their children are always radiant and loving.

thank you Mellisas and Yanet for the input. Your post have reminded me of some other writings.
an old lady I saw on a walk today
an old lady I imagined as young
and my thoughts had this to say
stunning and charming beautiful to the eye
all the men would tip there hats as she proudly walked by
today not a hat was tipped and the eyes seldom see
what was once young as I imagined her to be
next time an old lady walks near you in the day
rush to the corner and buy a red rose boquet
excuse me my lady, these words you repeat
you are stunning charming beautiful to the eye
I noticed this today as you proudly walked by
she will thank you smile and be on her way
give you a kiss and hold a red rose boquet
a fair deed you have done and in time to be repaid
by a young woman so beautiful these words she will say
excuse me old man I noticed you walked here alone
you are so handsome vibrant a body chiseled of stone
she will smile give you a kiss and be on her way
the great granddaughter of a great grandmother
who once held a red rose boquet
Joseph
a beautiful woman is a woman
that when the first time you see her
you know that if you didn't see her
for another fifty years
that when you did
she would be just as beautiful
as the first time you seen her

Mellisas: a taxi driver told us that the most beautiful women were in bayamo.
There's an old son tune which goes something like:-
Que lindo Bayamo,
Las Bayamesas que lindas son
So it does sound rather like the place has a re****tion for that kind of thing.

joseph we need some more beautiful words from you. :) :)

I laid awake at night
and scratched paper with the blood of my soul
the soul of love ached and it bled with words
my words were a canvas
that was to hold the paint of my eyes
you the beautiful paint of my eyes
the warm candle of the evening air
that tingled my soul
in my youth you were the distant star
on a warm summer eve
that called to me to hear your song
a song that twinkled of a lonely diamond
on and ocean floor
a song that played in the whispers of the wind
and pulled goose bumps from my soul
still the star nibbles at my ear
a familiar tune
from a distance
Joseph,
are there no more words to write
are there only so many ways to write of a beautiful woman
and risk repeating
have all the words been used in description
of a beauty that is beyond the ink of my pen
if this were true
then why would the sun set on the mountain today
much like it did yesterday and for years before
and still stop my eyes in stares of wonder
why would the stars shine so beautiful tonight
much like they did last night and for years before
and make my heart sigh when I look away
sunsets on mountains and stars on a velvet night
stir the soul in the ways of a beautiful woman
maybe that is why there are thoughts
of a beautiful woman today
much like yesterday and for years before
and still twinkle anew when thought of this very moment
though the ink of my pen may risk repeating
my thoughts of the beautiful woman of my heart
are born again
in the setting of the sun and the twinkle of the star
Joseph,
you are the mystery of a treasure
on the dark floor of a great ocean
my map is torn and faded
stained with circles of thought
still my heart and soul pursues
knowing the treasure is far greater
than the vastness and darkness
of the great ocean
Joseph,
to write a poem from the heart
and to never let the inspiration
read of the words
is to build a sailing ship
and never let the sails
be touched by the winds
or the hull
be touched by the sea

I have been away for a while. It seems my post is coming to an end. I thank you all for your input. The ballerinas, the ladies of young and old alike. The pictures, "your friend is beautiful". I am inspired by what the future has in store. Beauty is timeless and poetry is a photograph of a single moment. I will absorb what I can and be thankfull for what Cuba has to offer.

Falling from my pen
Are the words of passing time
Like the petals of poppies in the mid day sun
Hundreds of petals
Pigment of woman
Orange is the sun soaked clouds
That cover the night in shades of she
She is a flower
Petal upon petal
Blooming my thoughts
Words on the petals of poppies
Reminisce of she
Poems of her are spoken
On the breeze of butterflies.
I wonder the warmth of her skin to touch
The beat of her heart
The heat of her breathe
Her hair on the pillow
How does it lay
Does she smell of a rose
On a warm spring day
The lower neck near her collarbone
The back of her thigh
The wiggle of her toe
These I have imagined but yet to know
The bend of her jaw
The lower of her back
The cage of her ribs
When she stretches for the sky
The softness of her lids
When she closes her eyes
The taste of her lips
The round of her shoulder
The curve of her hips
In the night when I hold her.
My pen is a cocoon
Longing to write the words
That will set free
A thousand butterflies
To circle the skies above you
Each one
Painting a picture of your beauty.
Just wishing of Cuba...

Her eyes when they squint in the sun
And smile in the night
The lengths of her hair in a bundle
The few that lay on her neck and over her ear
How warm and tender the pout of her lips
When they kissed
So much I remember the kisses
Not only of flesh but of soul
The soft skin that held the cross below the collarbone
Soothing hands of floating feather fingertips
The warm skin of a body bathed in beauty
So much my eyes and lips remember
So very much more
The soul of my heart will never forget
For just a moment
To have again what I once held
Is more than a thousand starry nights has to offer
I wonder the taste of her lips
So long left behind
Her lips
Like a spring bud of ripe rose pedals
My lips touch her
And feel the beat of her heart
Of this kiss
My eyes shall never open
Where is the woman to write poems about
An honest beautiful sincere kind woman
A woman that would make me smile just to say her name
A woman that would smile the same for me
A woman that laughs and cries
A woman that would never compromise my heart
A woman that would inspire the good in life
A woman to grow old with
A woman that when I look in her eyes I only see love
A woman that is happy and confident in her self
A woman that isn't perfect yet can forgive the same in me
Where is this woman worth writing poems about
Is it I've come to the end of the ink of my pen
And no more these thoughts will torture my heart
And no more my heart will sing
All my heart and soul I wonder of you
A woman whose name is the title of love poems

Dear Joe / Joseph,
Wondering if you ever made it to Cuba ...
Did you meet the woman at the airport in Cayo Coco ... the one with the mop and broom ... the one with her keys dangling from the hole in her smock pocket ... the one who is unseen by passing tourists ... yet if her work were not done ... all would notice the mess left by tourists before them ... she is beautiful ...
Did you meet the woman at Cayo Guillermo ... Iberostar Daiqueri ... with ice blond hair and so blue eyes ... the one who flitters through the main lobby with her pail and mop ... the one who travels two hours every day to work and never complains ... the one who smiles with her eyes to say that she has happiness in her days ...
Did you meet the woman at Tryp Cayo Coco ... nine months pregnant and on her feet all day ... serving tourists meals of fish and rice ... the one who breaks into dance when a wonderful song comes on the radio ... the one who makes roses of napkins to present to her customers ... the one who's eyes dance with joy ...
Did you meet these beautiful women joseph ... I hope that you did ...
I would love to read your poetry about them ...
