Hi,

I am going to be travelling around Cuba and have European Visa cards.

What is the best way to bring money ?

Do I bring a bag full of 1 dollar bills and carry it around with me all the time ? - doesn't sound too safe on the beach ?! ?

Or traveller's cheques ?

thanks for any advice

Mike ;)

I,...coming from the united states bring all cash. I will have just enough big bills (100's) for the Air Cubana flight and the casa. Otherwise it's all 20's and some tens. The 100's are a hassle to break. You can bring travelers checks. Banks there will honor them. Also, The euro is excepted in Veradero now.

i would take some us $ but there are ATMs to withdraw cash - either US$ or covertible cuban $ ( same usage) in habana & santaigo, You can take a credit card to any bank & they will let you take out money no problem you just need your passport.

There are some European cards that don't work because they are part of a US bank - HFC for instance.
