This is my first post after reading for about a week with my brother. We've been going to Cuba for many years now, and just recently been taking down some tackle to do some pier fishing at Melia Cayo Guillermo. We've also managed to go out on a charter a few times and had great success in catching nice Dolphin and Baracuda.
Now we're going down for me to get married at the Paradisus Rio de Oro in Holguin. More closer to Guardalavaca I think. Anyhow, I was wondering if anyone had any information on fishing in this area. I am particularily interested in fishing for some Bass if possible. I can't seem to find any decent maps of the area that show fresh water lakes.
Are there perhaps any lagoons or inlets that might offer above average salt water angling for perhaps nice snappers or tarpon?
Thanks in advance for any information.
