I've heard rumors that the Hemingway Marlin Tourney was cancelled for 2004. Fact or Fiction?

where would be the best place to get on a boat.

Jeff: I have not heard this, but will try to find out.

Papa: The rumor you heard is fiction. I was in Commodoro Escrich's office last Monday and one of the things we discussed was the 2004 tournament.

Melisas: The best place for Mel to have a chance at catching one of those fish with the big noses (ie. billfish = marlin or sailfish <- species you eluded too 8) ) would be out of Marina Hemingway. You or he should go to the Dockmasters office which is next to Papa's Restaurant, and ask for the boat Fantasea of Marlin XV <- these are the 2 local charterboats for hire in the marina and both have knowledgeable crews. Ask the cost as they are different.
