Recommended fishing experiences. Cayo Coco in May

I will visit the Sol Melia Cayo Coco resort in May 2004. I'm interested in finding out about the different fishing options available at that time of year and to hear any of your recommendations based on your own knowledge/experience.

There is a wealth of information here in the old posts from posters who have fished to the Cayo Coco area. Take a little time, read the old posts, and you'll find more fishing information than you'll have time to fish.

Paulie I replied to an earlier note of yours. I mainly flyfish and can tell you that there are plenty of big bonefish, tarpon, Cuda and Permit in that area. Totally undiscovered and you have that flats to yourself. Truely a flyfisherman's dream. ;D

If you want to do some saltwater flyfishing. Try and find Randy Benitez. he is a club rep for Rumbos Cuba travel. He is based at the Sol Club Hotel in cayo Guillermo. he helped me out with a couple of days bonefishing. His email is :informatica.scg@solmeliacuba.com
