Karin.. not sure of your experience with driving in Cuba...
http://www.cuba-junky.com/cuba/cuba-transportations.htm
meant for info... and not sales....
watch for dogs....
and if you are planning a extended ( overnight distance ) drive...
make sure you know where you are going...
Road signs ( unlike Castro Propaganda ) are at
the best of times... difficult to see....

and bring lots of Deet

Hey apyxl,
thank you for the info. I have driven a bit before in cuba....and I did realize that there are not many roadsigns lol Was thinking about hiring a tourguide for two days or so....(one alternative or just go out on my own) just want to see a bit more of the country. and take some indepth pics...On my last trip i met a few people so hopefully some of the people in the resort can help me out as well....i am aware of the no interaction rule but there ways around it i understand....if you know someone in moron or cayo who can help me with a tourguide.... and the deet...lol yes i am aware of the dengue and i am going prepared also bugspray for my bed lol I really am hoping this time around to interact a bit more with the locals......cuba is fascinating....love people what makes them tick etc..
the dog part.....just to be on the saveside...what is a good price for a simple jeep to rent...appreciative karin lol

If you really want to thank me for this info... Take lots of dengue meds for the locals...
Bring some Iron pills for the woman... and B-12 for all.. both are very important...
Chewable one-a-day vitamins for the kids... and you get your ticket into heaven..

apyxl
P.S. This is only one car rental firm in Cuba... I believe it is the biggest.
Have a great trip...looking forward to seeing your photos....

Am working on that already..taking lots of deed also tylenol for fevers also anti itch medication..Seeing my doctor today to see if i can get antibiotics to take. Vitamins already bought, both for kids and adults. Iron pills not thought about took multivitamins will take some though. i have been reading posts here...And no do not need a ticket in heaven.....just a ticket into cuba :)

I saw. how expensive!! ......better to go for car rental at the hotel....cheapest way to travel right now is taking an all incl. and rent car at hotel then i can rent it as i need it.....or maybe i can strike up a deal with someone else there who is interested in renting a car....will figure something out. Cuba captured my heart.....it is helping me...sounds weird but true. Thanks Melissas....also will try to post some updates on the dengue when I am there.....Have some friends down(up lol) in moron.
