Hi guys,as title says myself and g/f are heading to the melia cayo coco on the 10th of may, wondering if any one else will be there at that time as would be good to fish with someone who has done this type of fishing before.i will be taking fly gear and spinning gear with me for shore and flats stuff, have also been told to take a multiplier along if i decide to go out on one of the hobie cats and do some trolling.Have been told that Orlando is the guy i need to contact for sorting guiding out etc is that right?
One question i have is that with the spinning gear will i use a wire trace all the time?
cheers for any info
Ian

Best to use a wire trace. Barracuda are always possible & almost everything has teeth. 30lb should do it. Try to avoid silver swivels, use black or another dark colour.
Regards & good luck, Dave.

hi m8 i took 60lb wire traces, the plastic coated ones crimped them and just melted the plastic to the trace end the barracuda still made a mess of the trace.
regards might see you on the pier on the 17-5-2007 regards
