Hi Jamie.
I've been to Cayo Guillermo 4 times in November, but I don't flyfish there so I can't advise on that. You can catch tarpon behind all the hotels on little poppers & plugs. On the pier you will get snapper (pargo) from 12-25 yds out with shrimp for bait. Livebait from the pier will give the chance of Cuda... Sierra.... Amberjack to 40lb and a BIG unknown monster that my mate Stevie hooked up with. On the rocks near pilar you will see big Tarpon & decent Cuda. The bridge is a lottery that will get you the most scarey hook-up of all time or.... nada. Wading in front of the hotels is small bonefish country with fish to 2lb. The charters will achieve Dolphin... Cuda .... Wahoo.... almost for sure, with the chance of sailfish & marlin if it's choppy.
I will be there on 24-05-07
Good luck & regards, Dave.
