Hi Waggerlad,

I have been having trouble getting forum to activate, tried to send you a private message, but not sure if you got it! I've been soaking up all the great information with much glee. Especially from you and Mark the Shark. We went to Cayo coco 2 yrs ago took tackle but had very little success off the beach,but after a while discovered the hobbie cat lads and caught a few fish.also went on a charter and caught Wahoo and Baracuda.
After reading all the info i've realised I was using the wrong methods and we were on the wrong Cayo ,should have gone to Guillermo!

The wife and me seem to share your passion for Cuba and the Cuban people. We have upgraded our luggage allowance with Thomas Cook to 25kgs per person and are taking lots of gifts (mainly hooks and tackle from me) and the entire Avon catalogue from the wife along with the local chemists supply of non prescription drugs. We are going to arrange to get into Moron and would love to visit a school or somewhere that we can meet local kids (we will have our 11 year old daughter with us and she is filling her suitcase with pens pencils etc) If you have any info on doing this kind of thing we would really appreciate it.
It is a shame we are going to miss Mark, but look forward to meeting you and yours.

no problems m8 me and the welsh wonder kid mark will be there i know a lot of cuban workers who live in moron also alex the thomas cook rep will help you in that direction.
as for the fishing there is always somebody to help you out dave,steve,mark,me the hotel waiters yosmanie,the nightclub waiters,and barmen, and the golden boy himself, flipper know loads of places to fish my friends hanoy,daniel and hanoy father who is the speedboat driver at lake rotunda gave us a great day out fishing for catfish if you need to know anything else give us a shout when in cuba im easy to see i always have a fishing rod in my hand lol regards

Aye up Bri. There used to be a guy in the Daiquiri on guillermo that would take the pens,pencils etc. to the local schools and make sure the kids actually got them. Dont know if he's still there but you can always ask at the hotel reception(he might do the rounds). I usually give the bits of tackle to the hotel staff that fish and the pens, soap etc. to the cleaning girls, most of which have got kids anyway.

they have some nice wind up torches in wilkinsons, about 3.99 im taking a few to yosmanie the waiter as i gave him some in may and they went daft for them regards

Or is it a derogatory term shouted across northern betting shops for someone thats lost a few bob on the horses?

I'm not particularly fond of the job but iv'e been doing it that long ithink i'll be up for the gold banana presentation soon, but hey at least it puts veg on the table !
As for the posh wardrobes i don't think i've been inside as many as you (led a sheltered life).The slang term in yorksire for an ugly bird is a two bag job, one over her head and one over your head in case hers falls off !

P.s ask Waggerlad about the monkeyhanger iv'e said too much already.
