my bmw bikes (bikes) have never let me down do not cost thousands of pounds for extras they should of put on in the first place, will run to very high milage without them dying a sad death. as for hogs harleys nice bikes, but i like to ride mine not fix them as for god made harleys to keep ar**holes off bmw must be a lot of ar##holes who drink sherry lol

Been riding on the back of bmws for over 20 years over 50,000 miles. Love them, especially the GS. My other favourite saying from bmw rallies (where that first one came from - I don't claim originality) is, "If Harley made an airplane would you fly in it?" The accompanying graphic on a t-shirt shows a plane with a chain hanging down. No offence Harley lovers.

In my dictionary its says Harley- 2 wheeled gypsy caravan/ 2 wheeled tractor (depending on translation). Also in the Goldwing manual,under body repairs it says- polish up a frying pan and stick it on the side(nobody will know the difference).

riding my bike all my troubles go for that magic time im out my wife says im a diffrent monster when i come back she says its the same with my other pleasure fishing the joy to see first time a youngster catches his first good fish it never fail to amaze me.
or to stand in a car park full of bikers male and female to look over there pride and joy all bikes included is a pleasure to see and i wave to anybody even the welsh tart mark lol

Have to say, AK - I reckon you got good taste in bikes. Yamaha make some great stuff. I've got two pianos and another keyboard made by them and I used to have some of their hi-fi stuff. The bike is probably gonna be the next thing for me - my wife bought me a plastic model of it for our anniversary. When I was a kid me and my mate used to go down the local showroom and beg to be allowed to polish the CB250s they had there.

Is that really you mel? Wow! I'm a bad driver whether it be car, bicycle or tricycle that's why I don't have a licence anymore. I gave it up. I tried riding in front and failed miserably but I am sooooooooo jealous of women who ride!

Something to be said for good ol' Bmr's. 77 r100rs. Great old school nuts and bolts hands on, reliable, runs like a charm and driven daily.... sort of like it's owner.

fantastic machine mine is the bmw k750c with the r100rs fairing with the ongar special conversion as there was only 116 made its like rocking horse poo to get one regards
