There will be NO World Baseball Classic without Cuban participation. Surely that much was learned from the last experience of same.

Well, Senor Lazo ate us poor Canadians up at the World Baseball Cup with his cleanup pitching.

Canada had 2 top major league pitchers who were not allowed to play. Could have made a difference.

The major leaguers are allowed but they don't release them for the Olympics. This tournament is a tune up for the Olympics so there is no point to using those guys.
