Do you mean Pesquero?

There's some info in this forum. Do a searches for Pesquero, Guardalavaca or Holguin for more, or just go back through the entres.

sorry i am late with this message. at the WATER'S EDGE THERE IS A LARGE CEMENT PLATFORM. FISHERMEN STAND ON THIS CEMENT PLATFORM AND CAST OUT INTO THE WATER. THEY DO CATCH FISH. USE NO 6 HOOK AND ASK THE HOTEL IF THEY CAN GIVE YOU SOME SHRIMP IN A PLASTIC BAG. USE WATER SHOES OR RUNNING SHOES BECAUSE THE CEMENT IS TOUGH ON THE FEET. OR IF YOU CAN USE A PEDAL BOAT WITH AN ANCHOR AND ROPE. PEDAL OUT TOWARDS THE RIVER MOUTH AND YOU MAY CATCH A CUDA.
GOOD LUCK

I just got back from Cuba and caught many Barracudas and some Snappers. Bring a set of medium to Heavy action rod with reel loaded with at least 300 yards of 25lb test line and some big Rapalars along and steel leaders. You can take the paddleboat or ask the guy to take you out on the sailboat. I had very good luck with the Surgical Tube Lure for Barracuda. They go crazy while they see the tube lure running fast behind the sailboat or paddleboat. good luck. Go on my facebook account to check out the photos. my accound is laut.

Hi Benji, would be interested to know how the fishing was at playa pesquero. I have booked for a stay in July / August and am planning to take along my fly tackle and maybe a carp rod set up to see what I can get from the shore. Any news or advice you can offer would be appreciated.
