I will introduce myself and then ask my questions :)
My family are spending two weeks in Cuba in mid July. A couple of days in Havana and then Varadero. I am a reasonably experienced diver being PADI Rescue, ITDA trimix to 70m and a British Sub Aqua Club (BSAC) instructor, and I have done a few hundred dives. Most of my diving is around the UK where we live-yes the water is green, sometimes cool, but surprisingly full of life.
FWIW I am the branch Diving Officer for BSAC branch 1904. Hence my regular internet name
(1) I want to make some arrangements with Barracuda dive centre at Varadero, but have been unable to trace an email address for the centre. Please can anyone supply the email address?
(2) Diving medicals. Is Cuba self certifying or do I need a medical signed by my doctor? In the UK we self certify, many countries want something signed by a doctor. I am dive fit, just want to understand the rules in Cuba.
