Hi all,
I'm off to guillermo at the end of feb for a couple of weeks and plan to search out the flats from guillermo bridge heading towards coco for some bonefish.
Has anyone spent much time/effort around this area?
I know paredon is good but prefer diy..
Cheers
Steve.

Hi steve,i've not heard of any-one trying that much for bones around the flats by the bridge, but keep us posted as i'm there in may and they do look like the could hold fish, the paradon flats are good but its a good long walk to get to them plus what must be an hour n half drive from guillermo

The flats on the Coco side of the bridge look quite tasty. If you look on Google earth you can see several deep channels running through them. I've not fished them ... keep promising to do so but always ennd up elsewhere. One of the local guides said he'd taken a huge permit on the inside channel, 35lb, on a handline and crab bait, and last time I went I saw some locals hauling a barracuda that must have been 40-45lb into their van as we drove across the bridge. It's not known as a bone mark, but that may be from lack of knowledge rather than lack of fish. Must try it next time.
Hi fellas, been there the last 4yrs and not seen or heard of a bonefish taken from those flats. Huge Tarpon around those channels after dark though. Mucho mozzie repellant required!
