I am going to Cayo Coco in April. I have a day booked with the guides at Los Penos, but I would also like a day with Juanito, looking for bonefish. Is he still working out of the Melia Cayo Coco?? He used to be there early in the morning but I am not sure if this is still true. Is there another way to contact him and does anyone know his current fee?? Thanks

I fished with him a few years ago.
I returned early this Jan and was told by many reps and guides that he isn't working for the spanish company that runs the bonefishing.
He therefore isn't even allowed on the island.
I was very disappointed as he is a great guy.

Darn. Sorry to hear that. Do you know of anyone there that I can go with for a day trip. Where might I find them?
Thanks

I returned from Cayo Guillermo (Daiquiri) 3 weeks ago and spoke a while with Dunieski in our hotel lobby as he awaited a couple clients one morning. He said that Juanito had "Retired"?. Perhaps that was Dunieski's polite way of saying that Juanito has been removed?. I have a hard time swallowing just "why" he would leave such a profitable job (healthy tips and such). I'm sorry that I never had the pleasure of fishing with him.

I'd suggest Orlando now.
