Hi all going to Guilermo end of Aug interested in meeting up with anyone who wants to wet a line. I have seen plenty of cow fish from the rocks going towards pilar beach from Guilermo I was wanting to know if these can be taken on the fly and if so what sort of pattern would be best.:grin3:

Hi Drynet, I've had a Cow fish on fly. Think the pattern was a crazy charlie, definately a bonefish pattern though. Excellent fighting fish. Ask Wagger about the one I had of the Melia pier on my 6ft baitcaster.:wreck:

Hi Mark,

So what size was this cow fish I caught a few small ones and I did keep one which I took back to the Sol where they cooked it straight away I must admit it was delicous which I was surprised as they look like they are made out of plastic. My son and I are heading to Wales also this year I might pick your brains on fishing there also but I must admit it does not have the same appeal as Cuba.

Regards
Ian
