Hi,
I am Elmer and I am new on this forum. I have a sister Iris who is a very good painter(collage degree in paining arts). But she likes to go cuba for about 2 months to work in Cuba. ...Are there places to go in cuba for artist? Is it possible to rent a working place for a painter? And what are the limits? I hope some one can answer this questions
Thanks

Myself and a friend are planning to go to Cuba next year to do our own art work there or an art project. We have both graduated from art school on Glasgow, Scotland this year. At the moment it seems working as an artist from abroad in Cuba will be a big challenge but we have started to research the possibilities by emailing various people in Scotland that have connections with Cuba and Cuban people through art.
Good luck to your sister!

Email the folks at Art Encounter in Evanston, Illinois. http://www.artencounter.org. They went as an artistic group a few years back and may have some ideas for you. They were going to go again in 2004 but cancelled. Having done watercolor myself I wanted to go to meet other artists. This is a great organization and schedules international trips annually. Good luck.
