New year, new dreams
Some suggestions for the adventurous in 2005

...Earlier this year, they went to Cuba on an educational trip licensed by
the Treasury Department to see endemic birds found there.
"The birding was exceptional, with the most memorable one being the bee
hummingbird, the smallest bird in the world," Don Traver says.
His greatest recollection, however, was giving a baseball to a boy named
Daniel in a tiny village on the Zapata Peninsula. Baseball is the national
sport in Cuba.
"He stood staring at it, almost as if in awe, for a long time," Don Traver
says. "Suddenly he looked up at me, said 'Gracias' and ran off to show the
ball to his mother.
"A guide said it was surely the first real baseball he had ever held and it
was probably the greatest gift he ever received. I'll remember that moment
forever."...
