Cool site. I went diving in southeast Cuba and it was the most awesome experience. I just wish I had one of those underwater cameras with me. If anyone else is interested in scuba in Cuba, you better go fast! They seem to be dying of "something".

the coral and fish life? why?

Well, the fish are there in abundance but in the area around Chivarico, 40 miles west of Santiago the reefs are getting covered in a light brown substance that resembles dirt or algae (?) and the coral suffocates, :'(dies and falls to the ground. My fellow divers said they've seen it elsewhere in Cuba but don't know what it is for sure either.
