Cayo Largo

Can anyone tell me if there are any Casas in Cayo Largo and possibly what would be the cheapest way to reach the island please?

I know of no Casa's on Cayo largo, and the best and probably only way to reach the island would be to fly from Havana...I have a friend that works there and when I get home later(at work right now) I'll email him, or better yet give you his email address.........You might think of spending some time at the Isla de la Juventud and there is a hydrofoil that leaves from Gerona each day for Cayo Largo..

Stay in Moron , very nice casas there i think they go for $20 usd , its very near to the beaches *;) . Oh yeh if you want you can take your bicycle and ride to the beach every day or take a taxi .

Thank you for your advice. As we are back packers I think we will have to give Cayo Largo a miss due to the costs. Moron looks nice. Where would be a good place for uncrowded and quiet beaches in June-July?

I used to be a backpacker , now i ride my Bike in Cuba , cuts down on transportation and you get to meet some very nice ppl. in the smaller towns and cities in Cuba :) .
