A while back "ElB" over on TT reminded us of Air Canada's Wednesday AM offerings. I checked out their fare for an itinerary quite similar to one I have already booked. The price is quite attractive as it is all in YOW- HAV - YOW. My fare on Cubana YUL - HAV - YUL plus ground transportation is about the same.

The huge advantage with Air Canada is their generous baggage entitlement. You can take enough stuff to start your own personal aid project. Here it is, as an example, for those who might be able to take advantage of it:

There is a selloff they are advertising. Fares as low as CDN$239 (each way) plus taxes.
YOu must book by August 18 and fly by Janu 31/06

The bonus with flying Air Canada is the generous baggage allowance.

Air Canada is tightening weight limits for its free checked baggage allowance, following several U.S. airlines that recently made similar changes amid high fuel bills. The airline said yesterday that the free baggage allowance for two bags will decrease to nearly 23 kilograms each from almost 32 kilograms each. In that instance, travellers with a bag weighing 23 kilograms to 32 kilograms face a $35 fee for North American travel and $60 fee for international travel. Separately, the upper limit for a single checked bag falls to 32 kilograms from 45 kilograms. Air Canada's policy kicks in for travel on or after Oct. 12, effective on flights booked starting next Monday

it's goddamn OPEC, the crisis in the middle east and the super power consuming a large percentage of the oil supply. We make the damn stuff where I come from and we are paying the same price give or take a few lousy cents then Eastern Canada. You know why Bush and his clowns are pissed at Venezuela? It's because they are practically giving oil away to Cuba at rock bottom prices which ultimately means........there is less for them. You guessed it, where there is oil not going to where it is SUPPOSED to be going, there is fire.................
